Difficulty Removing Pivot Bolts on HWH Jack

Betty Brooks1 month ago72 views
I am removing the HWH kick-down jack for repairs and need help with the pivot bolts. They are 1-5/15 hex head, 7/8" diameter bolts. I have applied penetrating oil but they are not budging. Has anyone had this issue removing the pivot bolts? What is the installation torque for these bolts?

Used a 3/4" impact wrench to remove the left rear jack. HWH took 8-10 weeks to return the jack after repair.

Plan to use a 1/2" Milwaukee impact wrench with a 3/4" extension to access the bolts. Will store hardware in a plastic bin.

A proper fitting 6 point socket provides the most impact. It may help to remove some connections if issues persist.

Torque for a 7/8" coarse thread bolt is 600 ft lbs for grade 8 and 382 ft lbs for grade 5.
